when a feature needs the cloud

Nothing you send is kept.

Transcription, summaries and answers use models that run in the cloud. orma sends what the task needs and gets the result back.

We keep no copy. We record how much was used, never what was said.
The model providers do not train on your content.
Email domains are masked before text reaches a model: jane@acme.com goes out as jane@domain1.anon.
Meeting audio goes straight to the transcription provider. It does not pass through our servers.
Web search is off unless you switch it on.

what runs on our side

A few features work while your Mac is closed, like a digest that arrives on schedule. Those run on our servers.

Digests. We hold short summaries of what you saved on that one topic. Delete the digest and they go with it.
Waiting for your Mac. A page saved from your browser while your Mac was off is held only until your Mac collects it.
Backup. Off unless you turn it on, and encrypted on your Mac first. We store it. We cannot read it.
Your other AI apps. Requests pass through our relay to your Mac and back. Not stored, not logged.
